The office cleaning checklist we use: daily, weekly, monthly
July 13, 20265 min read

Vague contracts create vague results. This is the structure we scope for offices, and it works whether you have 2,000 or 60,000 square feet.
Daily (or every scheduled visit)
- Empty all trash and recycling; replace liners.
- Disinfect high-touch points: handles, switches, rails, shared devices.
- Restrooms: sanitize fixtures, mirrors, dispensers; restock consumables; damp-mop floors.
- Break room: wipe counters, tables, appliance exteriors and sink.
- Vacuum carpets and traffic lanes; damp-mop hard floors.
- Spot-clean entry glass and interior partitions.
- Straighten conference rooms to a meeting-ready state.
Weekly
- Detail dust desks, shelves, monitors bases and window sills.
- Baseboards, chair legs and door frames.
- Full entry glass, including door tracks.
- Microwave and refrigerator interiors (with posted notice).
- Edge-vacuum carpets against walls and under furniture edges.
Monthly and quarterly
- High dusting: vents, light fixtures, ceiling corners, top of cabinets.
- Machine scrub or burnish hard floors; spot-extract carpet.
- Upholstery vacuum and fabric-panel dusting.
- Grout and tile detail in restrooms.
- Documented quality-control walkthrough with the client.
How to audit it
Walk the space with the checklist once a month at the same hour. Score each area pass/fail, photograph exceptions, and require correction before the next visit. Any serious provider will welcome this — it is how consistency is maintained.
